Industrial hemp is legal and grown in the USA. It is legal in all 50 states. By law, it has to contain less than 0.03% of THC. The CBD you can legally smoke comes from the industrial hemp plant.
It looks the same and sometimes smells the same as the THC. It’s the dried flower from the hemp plant. The only difference is the amount of THC present in the CBD flower. It cannot exceed trace amounts of THC, which are so low as not to be of any consequence.
CBD flower is legal everywhere (in the US) because it falls under the Farm Act of 2018, which made CBD legal in all 50 states and differentiated it from THC.
Industrial hemp plants produce flowers. Those flowers contain high concentrations of CBD. The flowers are dried and smoked either by rolling the dried flower into CBD cigarettes or smoking it in a pipe.
Hemp Smokes vs. Herbal Cigarettes
Hemp smokes is another way of saying CBD smokes. Hemp smokes, or hemp cigarettes, do contain CBD. However, it’s easy to get confused. There are herbal cigarettes that do not contain anything but herbs. People smoke herbal cigarettes for a number of reasons, but primarily to help with tension or anxiety.

Possible Negative impact of smoking CBD
The act of smoking anything requires creating smoke by igniting a substance and drawing it into one’s lungs. Over a long period of time, respiratory issues such as bronchitis or COPD can result. The long-term impact on the lungs of those involved in smoking CBD is unknown at this time.
Difference Between CBD and Tobacco

Vaping has health risks of its own. Despite the fact that it avoids combustion and smoke, there are risks from vitamin E acetate, and some devices burned heavy metals, which create lung problems.
Vaping is not completely safe but may offer less of a long-term risk to your lungs than inhaling smoke.
Interaction With Prescription Meds
There is a lot more to the way CBD functions in the human body, but without going into a lot of medical and scientific detail, it can be said that CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system in humans and other mammals.
The endocannabinoid system in mammals is very similar to molecules in the cannabis plant! CBD works because it gives different signals to the receptors already in place in mammal bodies.
The interaction between any substance and prescription drugs may produce some undesirable effects. If you are taking prescription drugs, it would be wise to seek medical opinions and research clinical findings about known drug interactions with CBD. It is important to determine what amount of risk if any, you may face.
The risk you face is also determined by the type of medication you are on, your current health status, and the importance of your current health condition. An optional prescription drug to treat a mental health issue may not pose the same risk as you would face if, say, a heart medication was less effective or produced unwanted side effects.
Smoking CBD oil
Smoking CBD oil is not a good idea. Oil inhaled can leave residue in your lungs, which could cause lung damage. CBD oil could be used in a vaporizer (vaped), but then there are some possible health risks to using a vaporizer to consider. See the section titled “Vaping” above.
